Lord Swaminarayan has forbidden consumption of intoxicating objects like Tobacco, Cannabis, Hemp, Opium etc. The Fifth Heir in the same spiritual Hierarchy HDH P.P.Hariprasadswamiji,The Founder President of Yogi DIVINE Society (YDS) Haridham-SOKHADA too strongly condemns and prohibits consumption and addictions of such things. The Government of Gujarat w.e.f. 15-12-2016 amended COTPA act with its immediate effect to totally banned Hukkabars in the entire state as a strong move. HDH HARIPRASADSWAMIJI in a strong support to such a move wrote a letter to the H'ble Young Energetic and dedicated Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupaniji welcoming such a strong step. In response to Swamishri's gesture,The H'ble CM Shri Rupaniji on 23-12-2016 replied thanking Swamishri to support the move.

A program of dedicating 4 medical mobile vans in the service of general public, at the hands of high dignitaries like the president of Yogi Divine Society P.P. Health Dir., Gandhinagar), Sri Harindra Vala (108 Ambulance) and the institution’s elderly saints P. Kothariswami, P. Nirmalswami, P. Premswami, the secretary Sri Vitthaldas Patel, Sri Dave Saheb, was organized at 5.00 pm on Sunday, the 8th January 2017 at Haridham, Sokhada in the presence of around 23,000 people.

A campaign for protection against sunstroke was organized at Haridham, Sokhada on Tuesday, the 11th April 2017 during which, the pamphlets containing the symptoms and the remedy of sunstroke were distributed free to all along with the packets of glucose and the water with glucose was also served to all the people passing on the Vadodara- Sokhada road to give them protection against heat-wave of which, more than 250 persons of the villages like Sokhada, Asoj, Mirsapura, Sisva and Ajod had taken benefit.
