Volunteer's Shibir - 2017, Fareni
Under the guidance and planning by regional saint P. Suyogjivanswami, a shibir for the dedicated volunteers from Gunatit Pradesh was organized by Yogi Divine Society on Sunday, the 1st January 2017 at Fareni in which, around 80 volunteers from villages like Junagadh, Manavadar, Dhoraji, Keshod, Upleta, Juthad and Veraval etc. participated and had discussed as to how still better public service can be done while also getting guidance from elderly volunteer from Rajkot Sri Dushyantbhai Pandya.
In the 1st session, 6 speakers had reported about activities carried out by them in their areas for developing good cultures in youths & their developments, about the difficulties faced like communication gap, volunteers’ inactiveness, inadequate equipment and also about the progress made, increase in new volunteers-youths during the last one year and what planning they made for all these.
Then, Sri Dushyatbhai Pandya, who came from Rajkot, informing the extract of his experiences said that, the service activities are a work of God and, if we do them without losing heart and persistence, God will surely help-guide us. In youth activities, mainly 2 things are required, patience and preparedness to mix up with youths and, if we possess both these qualities, we will be able to easily develop good culture in them because, today’s youths mainly need/desire warmth and love and we have to give theme these.
In the 2nd session, after lunch and little rest, 2 speakers had addressed followed by a nice presentation with the help of a projector on the subject “How a volunteer of Yogi Divine Society should be?” was shown by Sri Ujjavalbhai & Sri Hareshbhai Gor, along with which, even a program of question-answer was also arranged during which, the volunteers had sought solutions to their problems from elderly volunteers.
At the end of the shibir, the volunteers had dispersed with entirely a new zeal and enthusiasm to engage themselves entirely in the social services again.
