Yogi Divine Society had, under its Youth Awakening Campaign, organized a 2 day shibir on Saturday and Sunday, the 4th and 5th March 2017 in the presence of its president P.P. Hariprasadswami in Rotorua in which, around 450 gents, ladies and youths from Rotorua and its surrounding areas had participated to solidify their Indian cultural values.

In the beginning of the shibir, a welcome dance presenting devotion for the nation, the Guru and the God was performed by the youths.

Then, saying that, the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakama” is seen only in Indian culture, a youth volunteer from Auckland, Sri Kamleshbhai had explained in detail as to why only the Indian culture is unique in the entire world.

Then, asking the youths to decide the goal of their life in young age only, the next speaker Sugneshbhai (America) had reminded of a saying, “The youth is mad” and that, it is so because, if a youth is not alert, he goes astray and, citing the examples from the life of successful persons in the fields of politics, social and industry, he said that, all of them had set goals of their life in their young age only, which had given them the desired success in the life.

Speaking next, while addressing the youths, P. Sadhusaurabhswami said that, there are since lots of means for enjoyment and pleasure on the foreign soil, we may ruin/spoil our life without a proper control over it. Saying that, we are since the sons of a holy land India, a land of great rishis, it is our prime duty to preserve our cultural tradition, he excellently advised all to live a discretionary life.

Then, a lunch break was given.

Speaking in the 2nd session of the shibir on a saying, “A person is known by the company he keeps”, Milanbhai (Auckland) had explained it by giving related examples. Sri Praneshbhai had presented the disadvantages of living life under the effect of TV, Movies and fashions and had advised to live a discreet life by narrating the ideal life of youths who had experienced the true love from P.P. Swamiji.

In the end of this session, while advising all to judiciously use the social media, P. Shashvatswami described the good and bad effects of it and explained that, if you can’t properly judge it, there is lot more bad than good in it.

While speaking in the morning session of the 2nd day of the shibir, P. Ashokbhai (Secretary) presented the picture of P.P. Hariprasadswamiji’s selfless love by narrating His incidents with the foreign youths.

Speaking next, P. Harisharanswami had explained the need of good company and positivity in the life by giving related examples of practical transactions.

Before the end of the shibir, P.P. Hariprasadswamiji had said in His blessing speech that, ups and downs are a part of everybody’s life, so, all those who live between Holi and Diwali are the Arjuns. To always live with Diwali in our life, we invariably need Krishna in our life. To enjoy real happiness, peace and pleasure in the life, He explained through different angles that, the use of and the food to our ears, eyes and tongue must be right, pure and proper and appealed to all to live with the spirit of Samp, Suhradbhav and Ekta to remove Hath, Man and Irshya from our life.

Then, taking the meals, everybody left for his destination.
