World AIDS Day - 2016, Katargam, Surat
Surat is a developed city and the spread of AIDS is found to be the maximum here in entire Gujarat. The people from entire India come here for service and business and stay here. Most of the volunteers engaged in cloth and diamond business are less educated who need more to be educated about AIDS and, keeping this fact before the eyes, on account of the World AIDS Day, the 1st December, to spread the awareness about AIDS in the society, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar on Friday, the 16th Dec 2016 in Ankur Vidya Bhavan, Near Amba Talavadi, Diamond School, Katargam, Surat in which, around 110 gents and youths from Surat’s Katargam and its nearby areas had participated.
In this program, the institution’s volunteer Shri Prakashbhai Tank had, with the help of a presentation, provided information about AIDS like its deadliness, the reasons for our getting infected by it, its symptoms etc. by showing the related pictures and the figures. The people suffering from ailments like thalassemia and those who have met with an accident, need the blood and, if they are given it without the proper testing/examination, and if the donor is infected by the virus of H.I.V., the receiver of such blood also gets infected of this disease so, he advised never to take the untested blood and, while also giving many other information connected with AIDS, he also described the deadliness of AIDS and cautioned to keep away from it.
He requested the people present there to spread these information among maximum people possible by joining in this fight against AIDS in response to which, they all whole heartedly appreciated this effort by Yogi Divine Society and promised to cooperate in this mission by spreading the message in society.
