International Yoga Day - 2016, Hathaj
On “International Yoga Day” Tuesday, the 21st June 2016, Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada had organized in the open ground of Primary School at Hathaj, a Yoga Shibir for the students in which, 85 students had received the primary/basic information about yogasans.
As a result of successful efforts by India’s P.M. Sri Narendrabhai Modi, United Nations Organization (UNO) has declared 21st June as “International Yoga Day” since the last year. To celebrate this occasion, Yogi Divine Society had organized this shibir.
The yoga teacher had informed the students from the primary school about various yogasans with their effects on body and, so that the bodies of the children with very young age is developed properly and their heights also becomes normal, a few specific/related asans were also shown. Among other asans, tadasan, halasan, sarvangasan and suryanamaskar, which properly activate the internal glands responsible for proper development of the body, were practically demonstrated also with information about them and some practice for them was also got done from the students.
In the present time, many children don’t show their normal physical development for which, their lifestyle and lack of outdoor games is considered responsible. In such cases, the parents try to develop their children’s body by giving them different medicines for increase in their heights and body while, the students learnt here through the medium of this shibir that, this can be achieved simply by the practice of a few yogasans regularly absolutely without any cost and any side effects.
In the end, the yoga teacher also advised the student participants to regularly practice these yogasans.
