Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada had organized a program of “Atmiya Family Gathering” for the families at Atmiya Vidya Dham, Bakrol, Anand on Sunday, the 8th May 2016 in which, around 500 gents, ladies and the youths of the families from the surrounding areas of Anand, Vidyanagar, Bakrol, Jitodiya, Karamsad and Mogri had got the benefit of speeches by the kidney specialist Dr. Jigishbhai Vyas as well as saint leader P. Guruprasadswamiji.

In the beginning of the program, on behalf of Yogi Divine Society, P. Tirthswaroopswami, Shri Naginbhai Sheth and Shri Jayantibhai had jointly welcomed Dr. Jigishbhai Vyas and Dr. Maulikbhai by garlanding them. In his welcome speech, after welcoming all, Shri Vinitbhai, while introducing Dr. Jigishbhai, said that, he is rendering his services as a kidney specialist and transplant surgeon in Zydus Hospital-Anand and Sterling Hospital-Vadodara and thanking him for coming here as a atmiya swajan for sharing the nectar of his valuable knowledge from his experience about the serious diseases of kidney and the precautions to be taken for avoiding them while appreciating his spirit of services.

Then, Dr. Jigishbhai talked of the functions/utility of kidney and how to keep it healthy and working. He said that, there are 2 kidneys in our human body and their functions are, to purify our body by throwing out the impurities and toxins through urine and, at all, if the kidney loses its capacity to do this work, the impurities remain in the body, the fatal/destructive effects/result of which, the body has to suffer/bear. Diabetes, heart disease and the junk food can be the direct/indirect causes of kidney failure and under such circumstance, the patient has to go for dialysis every few days i.e. he has to take the help of artificial purification of his body to remove impurities or, a kidney from some donor has got to be transplanted into his body. As the dialysis is very expensive and a time consuming job, the kidney transplant proves to be the easier solution to this but, it is very difficult to obtain it/a donor. He said that, if a patient’s relatives agree to donate their kidney to him, it becomes easy, otherwise, the kidney of a dead person or, from a willing organ donor’s kidney is planted. Talking about Gujarat, he said that, we lead in donating our eyes after our death but, leg behind in donating our organs. A new/comfortable life can be given to many people if the relatives of a dead person agree to donate his organs but, we have got yet to work a lot in this direction. He thanked Yogi Divine Society for giving him this chance for sharing this knowledge of him with all present there.

Then, while thanking Dr. Jigishbhai, P. Guruprasadswami said that, he has talked to us about the kidney, an organ gifted kindly/generously to all the living beings by the God for the purification of our body. As, a kidney is necessary for removing the impurities of the body, a good company is necessary for removing the dirt/impurities of our mind and intellect. The positivity and good/real thoughts are required for the removal of hath, man and irshya (obstinacy, ego and envy) from our mind and intellect but, where and how to get them in today’s atmosphere/circumstance of Kaliyug ? and, for that only, by organizing such Atmiya Family Meets and running the Youth Cultural Centers, Yogi Divine Society is doing its best to remove all the impurities from our minds and intellect and tries to expand/spread more and more the atmosphere/spirit of Atmiyata, mutual love and real intimacy of our hearts among all of us. He once again thanked Dr. Jigishbhai for providing such an important and valuable information about kidney.

At the end of the program, all enjoyed dinner-prasad together and proceeded to their destinations.
