The 22nd March is being observed/celebrated as “World Water Day” in the entire world. On account of this, the volunteers of Yogi Divine Society, Vadodara had visited the areas like Kareli Baug, Manjalpur, Rajmahel Road and Nizampura on 20th and 21st March 2016 and had given the message for saving water to the residents there. 

Incidentally, the festivals of Holi and Dhuleti also came on 23rd and 24th only. The Holi (Hutashani) is ignited on the day of Holi to set fire to Holika for which a lot of trees are cut to collect the required wood while, the next day, on dhuleti, the people (Gheraiyas) use/waste a very huge amount of water for bath after having played dhuleti (a game of colors). To stop and avoid both these incidents of misuse of very useful and valuable things like wood and water, the volunteers and the members of Bal Sanskar Centers of Yogi Divine Society had collectively had made a new effort/a starting in this direction.

The volunteers had spread the message of saving trees (wood) and water to every resident by personally going door to door and shop to shop in Kareli Baug, Manjalpur, Rajmahel Road and Nizampura areas and by distributing hand-bills there for this purpose and had appealed the general public to be helpful in this noble cause of public service through this small but important effort.

This effort/campaign by the children, the youths and the volunteers of Yogi Divine Society on account of “World Water Day” was highly praised by all the citizens and they had also promised them to use as less water as possible.
