YDS participation in Hindu Spiritual & Service Fair - 2016, Mumbai

On Date: 12 February 2016

A program/an arrangement of an open public fair “Hindu Spiritual and Public Welfare Fair, 2016” was made at Goregaon, Mumbai from 12th Feb 2016 to 14th Feb 2016 in which, 130 stalls were allocated to different N.G.O.s 2 stall of which were engaged by Yogi Divine Society to display to/inform the general public about the various diversified activities of youth progress and social welfare done by it in the society, through its volunteers. During these 3 days, along with a number of famous, well known and leading persons from the society, around 1500 other persons had also visited the stall and had got the information about the institution and its remarkable activities.

With an aim/intention so that all the different institutions, groups advocating and working for the spread of Hindu religion and the general public unite together and develop among them a mutual and common relation with each-other by coming to a single platform to work jointly with unity by giving up their own/personal, contracted/narrow fields and thinkings, this fair was organized. Simultaneously, to make the general public aware about the remarkable works done by the various institutions engaged in social services as well as to prove/show/establish that, the Hindu religion is quite capable of facing, handling and successfully solving its social questions/problems like, the terrorism, global warming, protection of environment, the internal clashes among different classes of people of different religions, protection of women’s respect, preserving the social and moral values, rightly and appropriately handling the questions of tolerance/forbearance and the devotion towards nation among public.

In this fair, the dedicated volunteers of Yogi Divine Society had made a humble effort of informing the public about the various social activities done by the institution in the society, in the 2 stalls allotted to them. During the opening of the stall on the first day, the regional saint leaders from Mumbai, P. Bhaktipriyaswami, P. Haripriyaswami and the other saints accompanied by the Jain saint leader P. Vinamrasagar Maharaj and the dignitary like corporator Shri Rajubhai Padhye as well as the elderly volunteers of the institution like Shri Shashikantbhai Vora, Shri Manibhai Hariya, Shri Khushalbhai Kawa and Shri Vinodbhai Patel were present. The volunteers of the institution, in the pairs of 2 each, had provided to all the visitors of the stall, the information about activities of the institution through the medium of the brochures-banners and the video. Side by side, they all were also requested/encouraged to participate in the activities of development of culture and building of real/proper/appropriate life through the Children Culture Centers, Youth Development Centers etc. in the making of a strong and leading nation, run and conducted by the institution.

While giving wider publicity to the spiritual aspect of the Hindu religion, it was also tried to see that the general public also clearly knows about the hindu culture and they value/respect its philosophy of unity in diversity and accept that, according to the slogan “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakama”, the entire universe is a single family and, accepting/honouring/practicing this principle, they live with each-other with the spirit of Atmiyata and mutually loving hearts.

During these 3 days of exhibition, among the thousands of visitors, the well-known persons like Swami Vidyanand Saraswatiji, P. Guruprasadswamiji, the Jain Saint P. Vinamrasagar Maharaj, Buddha Saint P. Bhante Rahul Bodhiji, Rtd. Lf. Gen. Gurujitsinh, Shri Krishnabhai Majithiya (Dir.
