Clean India Campaign - 2015, Ved, Surat
The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has, under his campaign for Clean India, started a movement for cleanliness in entire India and, as a part of it, the volunteers of Yogi Divine Society have regularly organized cleanliness programs at many different places and thus, contributed their best share in this campaign. One such program of cleanliness was carried out by the volunteers of Yogi Divine Society on Sunday, the 4th Oct 2015 at Ved of Surat in which, as many as 45 volunteers of the institution had done the service of cleaning the main roads and the small lanes there.
As per the slogan/saying “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”, the volunteers of Yogi Divine Society had, under the leadership of Dr. Sukrut Parmar, Shri Nikunjbhai Vasdediya, Shri Pradipbhai Sahu and Shri Gopalbhai Rathod had collectively carried out the cleanliness campaign.
All the volunteers and the youths had, forgetting/leaving aside their castes, creeds and status, joined in this public service with their shoulder to shoulder and had carried out the cleanliness. This public service which started at 7:30 am in the morning, lasted till 12:30 in the noon. During this campaign, as much as 2 trucks/tempos full of waste, dirt and refuse including empty plastic bottles, bags etc. harmful to the environment was collected and thrown at it proper place.
Thus, while performing their duty towards the society, the volunteers and the youths of Yogi Divine Society had made due efforts also to develop the awareness about cleanliness among the general public.
Cleaning up the country cannot be the sole responsibility of sweepers. Do citizens have no role in this? - Shri Narendra Modi. Let’s join together on 15th December to change the mindsets.
