With an idea/aim of developing interest in the indoor and the outdoor games along with their studies in the students staying in Atmiya Vidya Dham complex run by Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada and studying in various faculties in surrounding institutes/colleges, its administrators had organized on Monday, the 21st Sept. 2015, a program of competitions in chess and carom in which 78 youths in chess while 95 youths in carrom had participated.

According to the saying “All work and no play....... makes Jack a dull boy”, all the students must develop their skills in other activities like sports and games also along with their studies and, in the existing time of competitions in every field, they surely get at least some relaxation from the tension of their studies with the help of indoor and outdoor games like chess and carrom while, they can also increase/develop their inference and observation power thereby. With these points in mind, for the students staying in Atmiya Vidya Dham hostel run by Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada, a program of competition in chess and carom was organized.

In this program arranged after the school-college timings, 78 youths in chess while 95 youths in carrom had participated. The another idea/intention behind organizing these competitions was, that from the students staying there and studying outside in right from std. 10th and 12th and those studying in various faculties like in B.Com., B.S.C., Engg., IELTS and Ph.D. etc. and of various age group could come close and know each other and could develop a bond of friendship and Atmiyata among them. They all were also served the refreshments of Fryums and juice during the tournaments by the organizer.

In one age group, Yogin Patel while, in another age group, Ghanashyam Patel were declared the winners in the carrom competitions and, in the chess side, Umang Chudasama remained the winner.

All the students, while thanking the administrators for organizing these competitions, had also declared that, they had felt and experienced an entirely a unique/different type of sweet and touching feelings of Atmiyata first time in their life.
