Yogi Divine Society had, on Tuesday, the 6th Oct 2015, conducted a campaign for relief from addictions in the locality of untouchable people in Avidha village of Zaghadiya Tal. in Bharuch Dist. in which, around 35 harijan (untouchable) brothers had participated and listened to the lectures on disadvantages of addictions and had properly understood about the real deadliness of it and most of the addicted persons had resolved to give up their addictions of wine and tobaccos from there and then only.

Most of the people in harijan locality are uneducated, as a result of which, the defects/drawbacks like addictions of wine and tobacco, blind beliefs, superstitions are found more in them. Even the small children also imitate their parents from their very young age and ruin their life as they get caught by the diseases like asthma, T.B. etc. by the time they reach their youth. Considering all these facts/factors, Yogi Divine Society had organized this campaign to make the people here to understand the damage – loss - ruin due to such addictions and to prompt/prepare them to leave their addictions as early as possible.

The volunteers of the institution, Shri Jayantibhai Shinorwala (Bharuch) had conducted the meeting and given a speech and had made the harijan brothers understand/estimate the loss/deadliness of these addictions, in his simple and straight language, with the help of different pictures related to the topics of the subject while prompting/encouraging them to leave/give up their addictions by making them understand/evaluate their financial/social/ physical loss due to these. As a result of the persistent and hard efforts in this direction, most of the people, around 35 persons, present there had resolved to leave/give up their addictions.
