On account of “World Tobacco Prohibition Day” being celebrated/observed world over on 31st May, the Atmiya Mandal, Krishnaji Pradesh (Dabhoi) had, under the Yogi Divine Society’s “Relief from Addictions” campaign, organized a general meeting on Sunday, the 24th May 2015 at C-43, Ambica Nagar Society to bring awareness in entire society about the harmful effects of use of tobacco in human bodies and to prompt them to live a disease free life by giving up this addiction.

Around 150 youths and elders received a valuable guidance for living an addiction free life.

Sri Ghanshyambhai Kachhia, through a Powerpoint presentation, informed/explained the audience about the purpose of celebrating/observing the “World Tobacco Prohibition Day”, the types of addictions, tobacco and its allied products and the poisonous ingredients like Nicotin, Methenol etc. present in tobacco. He also informed that as on today, at least 1 person out of 10 dies because of use of tobacco and, this ratio increases day by day and also provided very useful information by which, we can give up/get relief from this addiction while informing about the loss/disadvantages of consuming tobacco and its allied products. At the end of the meeting, everybody present there vowed to keep away from tobacco and to prompt all of their acquaintances also to do the same.
