With a sacred intention, so that, the youths turn back from their wrong path of blindly imitating/following wasteful/harmful habits of addictions, bad friendships and fashions and live a noble, cultured and a progressive life, full of their devotion/sacrifice towards their Nation, Guru and God, based on ideal Indian culture, the Yogi Divine Society had organized a 3 day convention of youths on 15-16-17 Aug 2014 at Sharda Mandir High School, Nadiad in which, on the 1st day of this convention, on independence day, the 15th Aug 2014, around 300 youths participated in the convention between 8.30 pm to 10 pm and received a unique, rare and most useful and valuable guidance from P.Harisharanswami on the subject “ What is meant by the real independence ?”.

Coinciding with the independence day, the stage was beautifully decorated by the youths with National Flags and balloons on the theme of India’s National Flag and to begin with, a series of lovely songs full of national love and devotion were played which delighted every youth-attendee and completely filled them with courage and pride.

This was followed by a speech from the main spokesman of the meeting P. Harisharanswami who, in his speech, said that, we are independent as per the words but, are very much caught by emotions of sex, addictions and superstitions. Presenting related examples he said that, the youths are free and independent to use mobiles and internet but, have lost their discretion in understanding their good and bad, by quoting related examples. He said, if one wants to get rid of all the bad habits in his life, he invariably has got to have company of and friendliness with saints in his life, convincing this through examples. Here and abroad, he said, there are thousands of youths living with devotion towards nation, Guru and God. Describing the youth activities conducted by the Yogi Divine Society, he appealed youths to join themselves in these activities to make their life meaningful and a success.
