World No Tobacco Day - 2015, Vaghodiya, Vadodara
The 31st May is being celebrated as “World Tobacco Prohibition Day” in the entire world. On this occasion, to awaken the youths of surrounding areas for relief from various addictions, the volunteers of Vaghodiya Road, Vadodara (Bhagatji Pradesh) had organized a general meeting at Aman Society, Vaghodiya Road between 8.00 & 9.30 pm in the night on Monday, the 1st June 2015 in which, Dr.Sejalbhai Shah, through a Powerpoint presentation, gave detailed and the most valuable information about the damage/loss inflicted upon the health accompanied by financial waste due to addiction as well as the valuable benefits by leaving/giving them up.
In the beginning of the meeting, the regional volunteer Sri Maheshbhai narrated the ruins resulting from addictions. Then, the owner of a nature-Nisarg hospital situated on VIP Road presented the frightening figures of deaths resulting due to direct or indirect use/consumption of tobacco in India and abroad through a Powerpoint presentation and described the deadliness of addiction of tobacco while also describing as to how a person is totally ruined not only physically but, also economically as well as socially due to addictions and also informed about the benefits of keeping away from it.
Around 80 youths/youngsters from Vaghodiya Rd. and Aajva Rd. areas participating in this meeting and even the addicted youths vowed before the elders to give up their addictions from that very moment.
